A little about us

Brooklyn is a diva, she loves shoes, dresses and always has her purse on her arm. Funny enough she takes her heels, dresses and purse right into the sandbox and to her the dirtier the better.
She is stubborn, moody, and overly dramatic (I hope this is an age thing) She is also compassionate, caring and loving when the mood hits her.

Brycen is all boy, he is busy busy busy. He started walking at 10 months and has been running ever since. He loves to climb the chairs, the sofa, the table everything. He has no fear and he has determination and persistence that I have never seen in a child. He is a total bruiser all the time yet he is so sweet and cuddly too. All day he runs and plays and climbs but every 30 minutes or so he stops, runs to my leg and gives it a big hug and then he is off again.

Time Flies!

And suddenly a child is born,
A gift from God to you.
She learns to walk, she learns to talk,
And suddenly -
She's two.
As years go by, a young girl grows,
All bright, alert, alive,
She starts to learn to read and write,
And suddenly -
She's five.
And all the time it seems to be,
She hardly changes when,
She's caught with Mommy's high heels on,
And suddenly -
She's ten.
And through it all, you watch this child,
The years have gently flown,
She starts to turn to wave goodbye,
And suddenly -
She's grown.

The eve of HER birth!

Well it was 3 years ago today that I was going to be a mommy in the next 24 hours. My how life has changed. You have brought so much joy, happiness, growth and love to this family my girl! Life would never be as pleasurable, exciting, dramatic, beautiful and fun without you! You are my sunshine girl and we love you.

What is my big girl doing now.....?
;; I think the real question is what aren't you doing?
;; You can speak in full sentences, you can articulate all your needs, you can sing full songs and give orders ;-)
;; You have friends and birthday parties to attend, and you love being surrounded by buddies.
;; You can get dressed and undressed, you can put your shoes on and zip up your coat.
;; You are independent, strong willed, determined, a total free spirit, you are caring, compassionate and very maternal.
;; You are a leader and love to lead packs or story time ;-)
;; You are a diva, you love clothes and shoes and have asked me why I don't wear heels so you can try them on.
;; You love water and nature and being outdoors.
;; You love to sing at the top of your lungs, all though you sing best when you think no one is actually listening to you.
;; You love ice cream, lollipops and bubblegum.
;; You are smart, inquisitive and bright. I am not biased either, I work with so many kids your age and I have definitely compared!

You are growing up so fast my girl! You are a blessing and a treasure.

Happy 3rd birthday baby!!!

Happy Mother's Day to me!!!

A baby asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"

"Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."

The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy."

God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy."

Again the child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?"

God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak."

"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"

God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray."

"Who will protect me?"

God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking it's life."

"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore."

God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."

"You will simply call her, 'Mom.'"

What are we doing now....?

Well it is spring and that brings warm weather. Whoo hoo so we have been
:: playing in the parks around the house
;; going on nature walks and scavenger hunts
;; playing with sidewalk chalk
;; playing with our friends on the play structure
;; having tea parties with friends
;; playing in the sandbox
;; blowing bubbles
;; having picnics
;; picking flowers specially dandelions :-)


We are definitely enjoying the season!!!
