MOM
What it means to be a mom!
She can deal with stress and carry heavy burdens.
She smiles when she feels like screaming, and she sings when she feels
like crying.
She cries when she's happy and laughs when she's afraid.
Her love is unconditional.
There's only one thing wrong with her.
She forgets what she's worth!

Devising the future plan!
So as adults and parents Jeff and I have been devising our plan for the future and so far our plan includes...
*Spending 2-3 more years in our town house, then selling it.
*Buying a brand new home in within Barrhaven
*Me getting a job outside of the home hopefully something within Health Canada or the Government where I can get benefits and a pension.
*Living in our new house then selling and moving to another brand new house in hopefully the Barrhaven area (this may or may not mean the kids can stay at S.E.A.S)
*Then once the kidlets are in college or moved out we will downgrade ourselves and sit on a nice comfy goose egg....
A plan is a great way to ensure we aren't just flying by the seat of our pants!!

The world loses an angel
On January 8th 2011 Aunt Lou passed away. This was Jeff's aunt and a very pivotal influence in his life as a child. She died of a massive heart attack and was taken far too soon. She will be missed and prayers are going out to everyone she has left behind.
I didnt know Aunt Lou for long, nor did we see her often but something I will always remember and will miss was her laughter she was so light hearted and jovial. She also had a heart of gold and was an amazing aunt, mother, grandmother, wife and sister.
RIP AUNT LOU YOU WILL BE MISSED!

Another year filled with possibility!
Tis the time of year filled with so much hope and dreams to come true! The time where anything is possible and fresh starts are awaiting!
We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day. ~Edith Lovejoy Pierce
This year I hope to continue with the healthy lifestyle and social life resolutions we made last year however I also resolve to bring in more spiritual awareness, more fun and laughs and more time to myself. Now that the kids are getting a little bigger I hope to find myself again. Figure out what I like to do and take on a new hobby and redefine me as a 30 year old mother. It is time to find out who I am again, because I realize that I am no longer the 20ish year old I use to be and know and from time to time I realize I need to reinvent who I am now! I have accepted my titles as wife, mother and child care provider however I have lost sight of what brings me joy when I am not wearing one of those hats. Cheers to this being the first of a redesigning of me!
Cheers!!

2010 in Review!
January- turns out to be a month of sibling bonding, once Brycen became more mobile, Brooklyn took a liking to him. He becomes a playmate not just a baby.
Febuary- Cohen joins our daycare full time and he is an excellent little buddy. He has been one of my favorite daycare kids ever!
March- Our traditional early spring tradition to Stanley's was a hit. We went with Ben and Christine, Josh and Amanda and all the kids. We had our traditional pancake breaky and had maple syrup snow on a stick. The kids also contracted rotavirus and were very very sick for 8 days after that. Both kids ended up at the hospital needing an anti nauseau drug and rehydration. Very Very scary!
April- Brycen turns 1, he had a car cake and a big family birthday in Lisa's backyard. By the way he started walking by 11 months and he had 3 teeth by his first bday.
May- Brooklyn turns 3 and she had a daycare birthday party and a family party which was at Andrew Hayden Park, Oh and she special requested a caillou cake.
June- We are in the throws of summer fun with lots of water play, nature walks and park play. everything is better in the summer.
July- Jeff and Lisa threw me a surprise 30th birthday party and a surprise it was. It was the perfect 30th birthday filled with the perfect balance of New and old friends which was perfect for my 30th which was a bittersweet year as I always say I remember when 30 was old. On a side note Jeff got a job with L W Bray construction. It is a full time position with a stable income. Things are definitely looking up!
August- We spent are summer living the trailer life, we spent our days chasing the kids through the dirt and our nights sitting by a fire usually with booze and good friends. It was one of the best summers we have had in a long time.
September- My little bro and his beautiful fiance tie the knot. I couldn't be more happy for him, nor pick a better wife for my bro. Welcome to the fam Giulia, we wish you both a lifetime of love and laughter together. xoxox
October- The month was spent with halloween prep from crafts, baking and decorating. The kids had a blast at our Halloween party and we had a blast at the adult Halloween party that Lisa through. I just want to add this Halloween we had a white Halloween. The snow was perfect and fluffy and their was plenty of it. Needless to say we werent so lucky at Christmas..all though it was a white Christmas there was no fresh falling snow!
November- We spent the entire month trying to get Brycen to sleep in his bed, sleep through the night and wean him...we were so unsuccesful in all areas. Needless to say our New Years Resolution for 2011 is to wean him and have them both sleeping in there own beds...good thing we have a year to work on this!
December- The month was filled with Christmas prep and traditions. We even started a few new traditions that we are sure to keep up (caroling) Christmas went off without a hitch, the kids were perfect, the company was awesome and we all were spoiled with love, laughter and everything we can hope and dream for.
All in all it was a great year for us. Hoping 2011 is just as good or Better!
