Milestones
You never realize really how fast time goes until you have children; at least I never realized it. I remember as I use to rock Brooklyn to sleep as a small baby I always would reflect on the advice I had been given and that was to enjoy every minute because it goes by so fast. I use to always make a conscious effort to do just that and I still do my best to always be present with them and to enjoy each precious moment as soon they will be in school, teenagers, moved out, parents with their own ect.
Today my baby boy sat up by himself and it hit me that this is it, he too now is on the path of growing up and getting bigger.
(Look at that expression, just what could possibly be going on in that little mind hehe!)
You're going to miss this
You're going to want this back
You're going to wish these days
Hadn't gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you're going to miss this

Our Summer in a Nutshell
You know those cold days you have at the end of the summer, the ones that leave a crispness in the air that has you reaching for that favorite wooly sweater; well today was one of those end of summer, bittersweet reminder of Fall days. Dont get me wrong, I adore Fall; for apple picking, and the beautiful folliage, the smell of burning wood and apple and pumpkin pies. I love it all except for the reminder that summer really is over.
Well between pulling out the fall decorations and checking on the roast in the oven I decided now would be a fantastic time to recap on our summer. It was a good one for us all and it was a special one too, as it was Brycen's first summer. Next year will be so different for him because instead of sleeping in the stroller for most of our adventures he would be able to participate.

Some things we enjoyed this summer were
- Feeding the ducks at Andrew Hayden Park.
- Silver lake family get together
- Annual Pig Roast at Auntie Cory's
- Picnic's in the park and the Teddy Bears Picnic with Grammy
- Sleeping in a tent
- Fishing with Nonno and Brooklyn catching her first fish
- trips to the splash pad with buddies and cousin Elizabeth
- Many long days spent at the park
- Drive-in's
- Swimming at Grammy's in a blo up pool

- Dollarstore Friday's with the buddies
- Nature walks in the bush searching for squirrels and birds

Priceless Mommy Moments!
Some days life is crazy but sometimes in all the madness a very priceless and very precious moment happens just like tonight.
I was trying to get Brooklyn into jammies after her bath though she thought running around naked would be more fitting, Brycen was fussing because he was tired. You know one of those cucko banana's moments when Brooklyn decides jumping off her bed would be a good idea! I am holding Brycen when she starts counting till her lift off (jump) well as she jumps and hits the floor Brycen just starts belly laughing over and over again. So naturally she continue and for 10 minutes the wonderful sound of laughter filled the bedroom. I was laughing, daddy was laughing and both of them were hysterical. As a mommy; listening to the bonding between your 2 babies really is enough to melt even the toughest of hearts!
Some days life is hard, some days frusterating but there are always these moments that are the sweet reminder that it really is worth it all!

I'm defenitly a mommy!
My, oh my, oh my, life has changed in the last 2 years. My life use to be filled with friends, parties, and a whole lot of ME time, now it is quite different as I noticed today as my mommy friend and I discussed potty training our 2 year old's. We stood there for at least 20 minutes discussing Bowel movements and urine in great detail. This conversation was preceded with a loud explosive sound coming from my litlle man who was now sporting very poopy overalls!
Ahhh; so this is how life with a toddler and a newborn really is. I spend far too much time dealing with, talking about, smelling and cleaning up these little peoples poop and pee. It really is humorous when you look at who I was and who I have become.
It's all about the layout
So I have been muddling over how I am picturing my blog to look and I think I have come up with it, a caption of what is real for our family. My perception of reality. This will be a cross between a journal and a babybook. Some days it will just be recaps of moments that I deem memorable and other days it will be more of a journal for myself. More therapeutic if you will. All in all this trully is a sign of the times and I cant help but wonder how much technology is going to advance between now and when Bubs and Boo Bear are my age. It really is impressive ho much it has advanced in just the last 10 years. It also puts a big blanket of worry over my shoulders of the day when I need to worry about my children and the availability to the big wide world that they have at their fingertips. (Insert shudder here) Either way like sleeping through the night, temper tantrums and potty training, this to shall pass and we will get through it!

Welcome to our family!
Well I have decided to start blogging (this trully is a sign of the times) as a memory and a recap of my 2 babies childhood and life. Life is such a hussle and bussle that the day to day will most likely get lost in memory when they are old enough to want to know about themselves as babies and children.
Brooklyn is 2 years and 3 months and she is a ham. Full of life, energy and just a treat to be around. She is a great big ball of spunk and I love my momenets with her because all though they are busy they are super hilarious.
Brycen is 4 1/2 months old and he is the happiest little man ever all though he is actually a huge 4 month old. Lets just put it this way, Brooklyn was his weight by 8 months and his length by 10 months and she was average. None the less he has the most laid back personality and his day involves eating, sleeping, smiling, laughing and pooping!
And then their is daddy and I. Dad has a roofing business and does construction so needless to say he is busy, but when he is here he is fun!
Then their is me, well I am 29 years old, a stay at home mom and loving it (most days) my kids truly are my life and my pride and joy! I guess you could say I am rather typical!
There you have it, the brief intro to the most important people in my life!!!
